Bay Area Women's Cycling is pleased to announce the schedule for the 2010 Northern California Women's Racing Series sponsored by NCNCA. This year we are pleased to present three Series, for Women Master's 35+ category 1/2/3, Women Category 3 and Women Category 4 racers. All three Series strive to provide more opportunities for women to race against their peers and to provide additional prizes for participants.

As in previous years, each Series includes both an individual competition and a team competition, and prizes are awarded to the leaders of all competitions at the midpoint of the series (we will have a midpoint award ceremony at the Memorial Day Criterium) and at our annual after the final race (awards ceremony date and location TBD). Last year several local teams stepped up to sponsor special cash "BAWC primes" at participating races and we hope for more of the same in 2010.

The Category 3 and 4 races are:

April 3: Altamont TTT, Livermore, CA (team competition only)

April 11: Hippstar Menlo Park Criterium, Menlo Park, CA

May 14-16: Kern County Stage Race, Bakersfield, CA (GC results -- composite results of all races in the stage race)

May 23: Panoche Valley Road Race, Hollister, CA

May 31: Memorial Day Criterium, San Jose, CA (race also part of 2010 Nature Valley Pro Ride competition)

May 31: Series Midpoint Award Ceremony after the Memorial Day Criterium (scores through Panoche Valley Road Race)

June 5: Dash for Cash Criterium, Pleasanton, CA

June 6: Butterfly Criterium

July 9: Ohana Sport Twilight Criterium

September 6: Giro di San Francisco, San Francisco, CA

The Master's 35+ category 1/2/3 races are:

March 27-28: Topsport Stage Race

April 24: Wente Road Race

May 9: Berkeley Hills Road Race, Berkeley, CA

May 22: Calaveras Road 10-Mile ITT (counts toward individual competition only)

May 30: Mt. Hamilton Road Race (race also part of 2010 Nature Valley Pro Ride competition)

May 30: Series Midpoint Award Ceremony after the Mt. Hamilton Road Race (scores through Calaveras Road Race)

June 13: Cytomax Benicia Town Race Criterium, Benicia, CA

August 14: Dunnigan Hills Road Race, Yolo, CA

August 21: 2-Wheel Racing Criterium
